C588 Belt-Drive Turntable

The NAD C588 turntable is an excellent upgrade from the already smooth and trouble-free C558. For those loving the nostalgia of vinyl, but who want the reliability of a new unit and an elevated sense of...Everything, this is the turntable to turn to.  The C588 features a double-thickness painted MDF plinth, cast aluminum pulley system and sub-platter, and glass platter with felt slip mat for a super-quiet foundation.  The C588 then elevates things further with an ultra-quiet, isolated DC voltage motor with electronic speed control. The 9" straight, carbon fiber, tone arm is lightweight and precision-made.  It allows for both VTL and Azimuth adjustment, manually.  The counterweight is decoupled from the arm, and the anti-skate mechanism is magnetic for even further isolation.  The whole thing sits on top of custom-machined, adjustable, aluminum isolation spikes.  These turntables come equipped with the award-winning Ortofon 2M Red moving magnet phono cartridge.   The hinged Perspex dust
