Honey Brook "No. 197" Marking Gauge--Shop Second--No. 2 of 2

This gauge is the first of two ebony gauges that I'm selling at a reduced price as a shop second due to a minor check by the brass insert. It was made three months ago and the check as not widened or lengthened, nor does it affect use. Here's an opportunity to get a deal on a beautiful gauge! The Honey Brook "No. 197" Marking Gauge is my take on the Stanley No. 197, a vintage marking gauge that featured a circular cutter similar to those on my standard marking gauges. This particular gauge is made in Gabon ebony. The Honey Brook "No. 197" Marking Gauge features: An elliptical head measuring 1 7/8" tall and 2 1/2" wide Two 1/2" round brass inlays to protect the head from wear over time A 8" beam fitted with a circular cutter and brass screw. The cutter provides a clear and crisp line for all of your layout needs. After inspection, I hand-stamp each marking gauge with my maker's mark prior to delivery.
