STORYTIME There are three things you need to get some serious speed on your charge time. The first thing is a device that has a PD charging chipset. This means that it can communicate with the battery to ask exactly how much voltage is needed to fill up the empty cells. The second thing is a charging cable with a CC wire - a yellow wire that provides a communications channel to the chipset in the phone to the chipset in the charger. And finally, the third thing you need is a PD capable charger that can communicate with the phone to raise or lower the voltage. Mainly found in devices with Type-C ports, Apple is also getting in on the action with new PD capable iPhones that have C-Ports.
