An exclusive custom-made concept of an interior car dealership sign based off the Radiator badge of the 1929 Dover Commercial line of vehicles made by Hudson Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan. The year is 1929 and Hudson Motor Car Company is riding high. They decided to create a new line of light commercial vehicles: DOVER. The trucks will be built on the proven and economical Essex chassis and Hudson chooses the Pegasus of Greek mythology as the mascot. The Pegasus was said to have carried the thunderbolts for Zeus. It denotes swiftness and high spirit. “Dover” like the “Essex” name continued HMCC’s Anglo-American connection which Hudson’s executives seemed very interested in cultivating, and would eventually result in the Railton and Brough Superior car Makes in England.
