Anti-Human CA9 Monoclonal Antibody, Clone: GirentuximabRencarex
Anti-Human CA9 Monoclonal Antibody, Clone: GirentuximabRencarex Clone: GirentuximabRencarex Catalog#: AB5839 Description: Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX, CA9) is a transmembrane protein composed of 459 amino acids, consisting of four domains: N-terminal polysaccharide like domain (PG), CA catalytic domain (CA), single helix transmembrane region, and short intracellular tail. The physiological effects of CAIX are usually related to acid-base balance and the transport of carbon dioxide and bicarbonate, which can regulate intracellular (pHi) and extracellular (pHe) pH balance and lead to hypoxia and acidic tumor microenvironment. The influence of extracellular microenvironment (hypoxia and pH) has been recognized as a key indicator of cancer progression. CAIX, as a key hypoxia inducible marker, is expressed in a limited number of healthy tissues, but is specifically overexpressed on the surface of the vast majority of hypoxic solid tumor cells.
