Straight-billed hermit

The straight-billed hermit hummingbird, Phaethornis bourcieri, is a fascinating bird species that belongs to the Trochilidae family. These small, slender hummingbirds have long, straight bills that are perfectly adapted to sipping nectar from the deep flowers of the rainforest canopy. They are distributed throughout much of South America, including the countries of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, among others
