Remarks: Copadichromis atripinnis are very rare utaka, or open-water cichlids of lake Malawi. Like other Copadichromis, they are fairly peaceful and multiple males will color up in the same tank. They are light blue with black bellies and ventral fins when mature, though it can be hard to capture their true beauty in photographs.
