Fire Crest (Copadichromis virginalis)

Remarks: One of the most beautiful utaka species is the Firecrest Hap, Copadichromis virginalis. Males have black bodies with a bright red dorsal fin and a white blaze over the forehead. They are peaceful fish and prefer to swim in the open water. They are reportedly only found once a year near Mozambique, where they gather 90' deep to spawn.
