Remarks: Marbled Bichir are smaller species of Polypterus. Bichirs are ambush predators and will eat anything that can fit in their mouths. Tankmates should be larger and preferably taller-bodied. Please note that Polypterus are known to jump so a tight fitting lid is encouraged.
