Remarks: Teugelsi Bichirs (Polypterus teugelsi) are slender, dark-green or burgundy Bichirs from Cameroon. They have a mosaic pattern across their back and a yellow belly. Their green coloration can be drawn out by using red substrate.  Bichirs are ambush predators and will eat anything that can fit in their mouths. Tankmates should be larger and preferably taller-bodied.
