Inkjet Coating rods, otherwise known as Mayer Rods, are stainless steel wire wound rods that apply a precise, even layer of coating onto the substrate. The No. 28 rod applies a lighter layer of coating sufficient for papers. Coating rods are manufactured to order and generally take several days to ship and several more days for delivery.
