The fine art of fiber wall sculptures & tapestries by Wendy Carpenter are handmade in an impressionist art style through personal borderline abstract-literal interpretations. Carpenter's fiber art wall hangings capture the emotion and power of nature by abstracting the natural world. "My paper collage is all about texture and rich color and created with some very unique handmade materials. I tore up a raw hemp linter and soaked it in a cochineal insect dye bath, and the longer it soaked, the richer the color became! I then added a natural cellulose adhesive to the dye bath to bond and cluster the hemp pieces. I made the background cream paper with pine needles and cotton. It is mounted on a cedar stained pine frame and concealed with a Plexiglass front to protect the materials." Contact Artist Here to create your personal custom paper art!
