Original Item: Only One Available. This lovely double barreled pocket percussion pistol was almost certainly made in Liège, Belgium for the European and American export markets. These were quite popular for self-protection, and having two barrels definitely would give the owner increased protection. Pistols like this were equally at home on dark Streets of New York or of London in Victorian England. It features some lovely simple engraving on the sides of the lock, as well as on the tang of the receiver. The smoothbore barrels measure just over 2 ¾" in length, and have grooves on the muzzle so they can be unscrewed, however they are currently frozen. The left side of the "box lock" frame is marked with E / L G / * in an Oval, indicating manufacture in Liège, Belgium. There are also faded CROWN / N inspection marks on the side of the barrels, a typical Belgian proof mark. The pistol measures 7 ⅜" overall, there are no other markings we can see besides the proofs.
