About the Photoshoot Capturing "The Drop" was a personal highlight of my photographic journey through Iceland. Haifoss, with its towering height and unique surroundings, is a truly awe-inspiring sight. I knew I had to capture its power and beauty in a way that would leave a lasting impression. From a vantage point on the opposite cliffs, I set up my tripod and used a long exposure to capture the flow of water as a silky white ribbon, highlighting the vibrancy of the surrounding moss, lava, and sky. I carefully framed the shot to lead the eye away from the waterfall and into the barren landscape beyond, emphasizing the contrast between the waterfall's oasis and the barren wilderness.
