Aspen Bark Hoops
Did you know that the Aspen tree is the most widely distributed tree in the US? They can grow as one single tree or as part of a clone (many trees), the largest clone being in Utah. If you ever have the chance to see a clone, it is a real treat, particularly in the fall! Carry a bit of nature with you everywhere you go!Each pair of hoops is made one at a time by hand. The metal is cut out, etched, formed into hoops and then cut down to size and a post is soldered on. For the silver hoops, a dark patina is added and then each piece is carefully polished to make that lovely texture pop. The silver hoops shown here have a matte finish, please leave a note a checkout if you prefer them to be shiny, like those in the modeled photo.
