Combo Level 2, Jay Mabin, Monday, 7:30-9:00pm

This combo will meet weekly on Mondays running June 22nd - August 24th with performances on August 27th & 28th. Veteran Northwest harmonica and bass player leads this level 2 combo, bringing with him over 4 decades of experience in improvised music in many genres. Emphasis is placed on further developing improvisation vocabulary, deepening knowledge of the jazz tradition, and broadening exposure to different types of jazz and improvisational music. Music is selected by the instructor with input from students and tends to be drawn from the standard jazz canon. Student Requirements: Punctual attendance and desire to learn and improve. Students supply their instruments.
