This ensemble will meet weekly on Sundays running September 21st to November 30th with performances on December 4th-6th. Performance Big Band is a 90 minute large jazz ensemble study experience: Develop jazz big band ensemble playing skills Work up repertoire Get performance experience and improv opportunity Focus on stylistic phrasing, intonation, balance, musicality, dynamics, and fun Seats are limited and filled by skill assessment. Homework: Preparation of the assigned music. Student Requirements: Intention to enroll in consecutive multiple sessions (unless other arrangements are discussed). Punctual attendance and preparation are required. Attendance to each scheduled performance is required.
