30 Years Ago - 46x58" unframed

Size: 46x58 // unframed   Inspiration:  It seems entirely impossible to me that anything might have happened 30 years ago and I would’ve been alive to see it. I’m not sure where the time went. I read about a phenomenon that as you get older your days become more similar and so your brain categorizes and stores them away as one event. A lifetime of breakfasts, days in the studio, walks with the dog, family dinners all compressed into a tidy brain-package. And another phenomenon where time begins to pass more quickly the older you are because the perceived length of a minute in time is relative to the total number of minutes you have experienced in your life. These are the things I think about with my minutes when I should probably just be grateful to have the minutes at all.   Details:  This is a framed mixed media painting on a 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas.
