Raven Hand Embroidery - 8.5"

I embroidered this cheeky raven in 2023 as a series of "gothbirb" stitches. Corvids have always felt like kin to me; they're silly and playful and smart and kind of annoying, and highly food motivated. Relatable.  This was my first experiment into bright periwinkle as a highlight color on a bird-that's-actually-pretty-much-black, and I ADORE how it plays against the green fabric and the stark blacks in the plumage.  The hoop measures 8.5" tall by 5" wide and is painted black. It can be hung with a small nail using the hoop hardware at the top.
