ALAMO SWITCHGRASS

Switchgrass is a native, perennial, tall-grass that is well adapted to the majority of the United States except California and the Pacific Northwest. 'Alamo', a lowland switchgrass, is a warm-season perennial bunchgrass native to the United States. 'Alamo' is best adapted to the Southern one-half of the U.S. and is used for hay, pasture, soil conservation, wildlife cover, and in recent years, the biofuel industry.
