Mossy Falls

Mossy Falls along the Short Line Trail to Mount Adams - White Mountains, New Hampshire Hiking just beyond the 4000' mark toward the peak of Mount Adams in the White Mountains, we encountered the incredible Mossy Falls, with a strong flow due to an ongoing storm at the top of the mountain. The thick carpet of moss covering the flat stone face not only gives this waterfall its name; it also gives the falls an immense about of unique character and intrigue. After I was sure I'd adequately captured every inch of detail offered by the green overlay, we stood for a few more minutes to marvel at this gem nestled 3 miles away from the nearest trailhead.
