Supercooled

Taughannock Falls - Trumansburg, New York An exceptionally cold winter always yields exciting frozen waterfall views.  Taughannock Falls was no exception, and I was excited to visit when the conditions were just right.  The temperature of moving water can live below freezing, creating this incredible phenomenon where a shield of ice can form around the falls.  There is something so surreal about looking at a static scene while listening to the water surging underneath the ice.
