Made from a double layer of ultra-flexible woven raffia, the Alpargatas has a bucket crown that sits slightly higher on the head than a conventionally fitting hat. The brim is entirely top-stitched and has a fringed edge. A long grosgrain ribbon is threaded through eyelets to serve as a chin tie. Knot it under the left ear for a chic touch, or just let the hat hang nonchalantly down the back. The hat provides excellent UV protection.
