Just Coffee Cooperative has brought back our renowned Bourbon Barrel coffee for a limited run. This year’s batch was aged in a barrel that we acquired from the wonderful folks at J. Henry and Sons in Dane, WI. We filled this fresh never rinsed barrel with a single origin coffee from our farmer partners at CAFECO in Chiapas, Mexico. Our friends over at Hop House Brewing Company in Fitchburg, WI rolled the barrel for two weeks to make sure each bean had an opportunity to come into contact with the bourbon soaked walls of the barrel. Then we brought the coffee back to our facility in Madison, WI, where it was roasted to perfection. Our bourbon barrel coffee is a unique experience. It’s buzzing with notes of sweet bourbon and soft vanilla. Leaving you with all the taste, but none of the alcohol.
