It's hard to swing by a swung vase without taking it home.  This one from Imperial in shimmery iridescent carnival glass is no exception.  Swung vases, popularized in the 1960s, are made by literally swinging the glass during the blowing process, resulting in that gorgeous drippy, curvaceous, ruffled texture. We can't wait to put a few fresh stems in this one.   Measuring about 9 1/2 inches tall, we love the marigold ombre color reminiscent of honey.  There is a subtle, fine vertical ribbing which adds extra interest and catches the light.  The bottom features the 16-point star detailing.  Vintage Imperial 9.5" Swung Glass Bud Vase, Ribbed, Marigold Color, 1960s This is a pre-loved dandie; there are bubbles and imperfections in the glass expected for the date and technique of this style. They add to the dimension and beauty, we promise.
