Antique Carved Shell Grand Tour Souvenir Brooch/Pendant 800 Silver

Marked 800 silver testing out at 900 to 920 parts per 1000. Piece measures just under 38.38mm high and about 30.38mm wide. The hook clasp has been replaced and subsequently someone thought it a good idea to shorten the pin, file down the point of the remainder of the pin and glued the clasp closed causing some glue residue to spill over to the side of the bit. In addition, the pin is a bit out of sorts - not straight. So basically, the bit as it sits now cannot be worn as a brooch until this is properly addressed. The bale on this is a later addition and soldered to the original ring. , This has not been cleaned by me at all. Selling it exactly as I found it. What a neat piece regardless of the flaws.
