I have for sale a pair of antique sugar tongs. The top of these looks to me like a crest with a star and castle. The sides look to be flower wrapped posts of some kind. Design is somewhat consistent with 1880 to 1920's. The assay mark on the tongs is consistent with a French mark for 800 silver. This was part of a lot picked up at auction from a antiquities dealer. I took these down to my local antique jeweler for inspection along with some other items. They used there machine to determine these were silver. These weigh 11.7 grams. There is what looks to be a makers mark stamped in these on the inside- as pictured. I don't know the pattern or maker. These are in nice vintage unpolished condition as pictured. Some wear, surface scratches/scuffing as would be expected. Anyway, the stamp on the outside almost looks like he's wearing the old roman battle hat - but not sure - and the inside stamping looks like a snake. Please see the photographs and don't hesitate to ask for additional phot
