A beautiful, and rare, hand tinted photograph by Adolphe Braun which is part of his series Costumes de Suisse from circa 1869. The Canton of Berne, Guggisberg, Switzerland features an attractive young lady standing beside what looks like a back back with a round object that is held up by a pole. She is wearing a dress and hair ribbon typical of the area and posing with one hand on her hip and another resting upon the round object. The photo card measures approx 8 1/8" x 6 3/8" with the actual image sizing being about 6 1/4" x 4 1/2". I believe the photograph is of French origin and use the albumen silver print technique. Condition: tanning, foxing, spotting and board is wavy from moisture with edge wear. Please ask specific questions regarding this item if you have specific details that are important to you before you purchase. This item is suitable for framing and would make a beautiful addition to any collection. Please do review all of the photographs as they are of the actual item
