African Summer : Mized Media Art (36 x 36 inches)

This work is part of an experimental project and I started when I volunteered with MedShare. This wonderful organization donates medical materials to medical centers around the world.  As an artist, I had to create a piece of artwork using discarded medical equipment.   I found these thick plastic tubes and I chose to create these very bright, textural paintings.  We held a fundraiser for a medical center in Sierra Leone so I looked into West African patterns to add some colorful inspiration.
