Sha'lak'o is sacred spiritual being central to Zuni Pueblo culture. Once a year an important religious ceremony takes place in which Sha'lak'o makes an appearance. Sha'lak'o is a messenger from the Rain Gods. A full moon rises in a lavender sky as Sha'lak'o blesses the land in Brion Hattie, Jr.'s miniature original acrylic painting titled "Zuni Shalako". The canvas is secured to a magnet for versatility of display. The canvas itself is about 2 5/8" square. Signed by the artist. A small wooden easel is included. A treasurable 2-piece set.
