
Dijon Mustard Salmon
When we think of gourmet food, France is always top of mind. This classic home-cooked meal is elegant, aromatic, and a celebration of lemon juice and mustard. It's a huge crowd-pleaser for all ages. Growing up, I thought only Bengalis ate mustard with everything till I delved into French recipes. Mustard is almost as omnipresent as salt in these two cuisines. This simple dish consists of Salmon dressed in Dijon mustard, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt and covered with a paste of mustard, panko, and parsley. The panko is a twist on the classic recipe as it gives a crunchy texture. This dish comes paired with a simple tomato and cucumber salad with crunchy fried capers and roasted baby potatoes that are crispy on the outside but completely creamy on the inside. This meal is healthy, comfortable, and has great texture. Gluten-free option without panko.
