BOAT/63
In this piece, I channel the raw solitude and quiet resilience of a lone boat in low tide. Using expressionist strokes and oil, I convey movement and emotion, capturing the contrast between the tranquility of the water and the dynamic sky. This artwork reflects inner peace and the spirit of perseverance, enriching your space with a sense of calm and inspiration. BOAT/63 is created with palette knives and brushes and is part of my longest running series. I am showcasing my unique technique that shows movement and expressive mark-making. This artwork has a textural surface, which I believe gives life and engages more senses. It is not flat and still. I want to prolong the viewer's immersion- experience the wind, the warmth, the smell of the waves and sand. This BOAT is different from the 62 I created before it, in that I have limited my palette. It is signed on the front and is wired on the back. It is coated with archival varnish for protection from light and dust.
