Our final black label release of 2024 is our oldest to date and one of the last 53-gallon barrels to be aged entirely in the hothouse environment of our oldest warehouse location— the second floor of the historic Paymaster Building. Owing to both the peculiarities of that room and its nearly 10-year age statement, Single Barrel #2134 foregrounds an antique-style presentation of oak that stands out even in some of our recent 7-and 8-year-old releases. After trials of a variety of proof points, the blending team unanimously selected the final bottling proof of 110 as this cask’s ideal balance of texture and complexity.
