A collaboration with the Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute (FCCI), the KLEIO Ancestral Mesoamerica artisanal candle recreates the fragrances of ancient Mesoamerican rituals involving cacao—Mesoamerica being the place of origin of the very chocolate that we enjoy today. SENSORY HISTORY AROMAS: Ancient Cacao, Chocolate, Mesoamerican Vanilla Bean, and Copal Resin The label features Mayan hieroglyphs (meaning “sweet cacao”), honoring the traditions of the ancient Mayan people and the living heritage of contemporary Mesoamerican peoples that still hold an affinity to this staple and its many preparations.
