Gluten-free Sourdough, Vegan Hamantashen

Our love for Hamantashen comes from childhood, and these triangle shaped cookies are typically eaten around the Jewish festival of Purim. Legends say it is in the shape of the triangular-shaped hat the villain "Haman" wears in the story of Purim, but some historians advocate that these were fertility cakes, but had to have a story behind them that made them accessible to all to eat. (Most likely because they are so delicious). We make ours unique witg a gluten-free sourdough, vegan and organic maple-sweetened dough.  We hand-make poppyseed filling with organic maple and raisins as the sweeteners, as commercial fillings use corn syrup and additives. Our Raspberry filling is made with Smashfoods refined sugar-free jam and organic maple. Each box contains 6 Hamantashen, wrapped individually in biodegradable bags.
