Purling the "bees" when you encounter them in your work makes them pop from the stockinette background. Add to that a honeycomb stitch pattern in a honey-hued yarn, and this cowl is a celebration of the humble bumblebee in knitwork. "The cowl is knit from the bottom up. The base Honeycomb section is knit flat with a slip stitch pattern. At the transition to the top Bumblebee section, the piece is joined together in the round and continues in stockinette stitch with a purl pattern for the bees.
