2018 Land of Aloha Cream x Gold

Reprinted by HALE HAWAII in the early 1950s. This Land of Aloha is a classic and royal pattern for aloha shirts. The motif is Hawaiiana. The motifs include a woman preparing a lei and welcoming the wearer, King Kamehameha the Great, ukuleles, fish, plants, and fruits. Hawaiian life is abundantly incorporated. The pattern is lively and conveys a sense of fun.  As for the reprinting, “Bailey's Antiques” in Honolulu requested us to do it. A very famous American comedian named ANTHONY BOURDAIN purchased the original vintage Land of Aloha for $2,000 when he visited Baileys. A TV station called “Travel Channel” aired the story. The broadcast was shown on Youtube, and customers came to Baileys in search of the shirt. That was about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, ANTHONY BOURDAIN passed away this year.
