The aperture design allow adjustment around the plant stem to block as much light as possible with out impeding seedling growth. Provides support to help young seedling grow straight. Can be used to completely cover Pellet Carrier  for germinating seeds. When closed it helps keep moisture and warmth in to promote seed germination. Designed to work specifically with Krack=Pot Split Pellet Carriers.
