2022 Media: Cold wax, oils, ink, marble dust, and dry pigment Substrate: cradled birch panel prepared with acrylic gesso and acrylic medium Dimensions: 10in x 10in x 1 5/8in   What am I looking at?  There are very prominent textural and contrast elements in the background of this painting, and they include some more subtle colors. Overlaying them are very saturated, proud colors of blues, purples, greens, yellow, and teal. Some of the color areas are relatively transparent, and some obscure the textures underneath. There is a lot of "dance" in the lines and shapes.
