She is pushing against a wall or vertical surface in front of her; with one hand she appears to be breaking through that surface, and with the other she is searching and exploring the space. She casts a luminous shadow onto the surfaces before and below her. Texture: Visual texture has been created with many layers of oil/cold wax applied and scraped back or removed; the remaining physical texture is very smooth.
