Liquidambar s. Palo Alto

A deciduous tree with a pyramidal growth habit, reaching heights of approximately 20 meters. This is a high-maintenance tree that requires regular care and upkeep, preferably with pruning at the end of winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. Young leaves have a slight purple hue, and leaf stems exhibit a touch of red. Leaves are slightly smaller than those of the Palo Alto Red Maple. In the summer, the leaves are bright green, turning into shades of orange-red and deep purple in the autumn. Prefers fertile, moist soil and cannot tolerate prolonged periods of drought.
