It has fan-shaped leaves, about 1.5 to 3 feet wide. The trunk is narrow, straight, and slightly spiky, resembling coarse burlap wrapping. In summer and autumn, clusters of yellow or white flowers appear, followed by small blue fruits, but they do not attract wildlife. Its compact shape makes it ideal for small yards or courtyards with limited space. It does not pose a litter problem, making it a good choice for landscaping. The Windmill Palm grows slowly and is one of the most cold-tolerant palms. It thrives best in partially shaded areas and fertile soil.
