The Village Golabki

Golabki are traditional Polish cabbage rolls filled with a savory mixture of ground meat , rice or breadcrumbs, and onions. The rolls are wrapped in tender cabbage leaves and then baked or simmered in a flavorful tomato sauce until perfectly cooked. A staple of Polish family life, particularly at Christmastime. Our vegetarian interpretation sources protein from green lentils, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin seeds. Antioxidants, vitamin C, and lycopene are provided by locally grown shallots, carrots, and tomatoes. And thanks to a carefully balanced spice blend including paprika, thyme, and caraway seeds, our golabki also features the six Ayurvedic rasas.
