As you likely know, I name my jewelry after women who inspire me. Together, my mom and I named this shell "Bernadette" after the Leonard Cohen and Jennifer Warnes song, "Song of Bernadette". Have you hear it? I dare you to listen to it and not cry. Lyrics:"So many hearts I find, broke like yours and mineTorn by what we've done and can't undoI just want to hold you, come on let me hold youLike Bernadette would do" The song refers to a young French girl in the mid-19th century who claimed to have seen the Virgin Mary on several occasions.
