Sept 2009- You wouldn’t know I was an experienced traveler from the itinerary I booked. Three red-eye flights back-to-back. It went like this: Tuesday Evening Departed LAX at 11:30 PM - Arrived New York (JFK) 7:57 AM. (Couldn’t sleep) Wednesday Arrive in city by 9:15 AM. (Went to friend's apartment.) Showered. 10:30 AM first of three meetings. 5:45 PM Finish last meeting. Back to apartment. Re-pack bag. 7:45 PM, Taxi to JFK Depart JFK 10:00 pm. (Haven’t slept since Monday) Friday Evening 7:30 PM Arrive Dubai (DBX). (Couldn’t sleep on flight). 8:15 PM Arrive at Henry’s apartment. Drop Bags. 8:30 PM Henry, Will and I go to Lebanese Restaurant. 10:30 PM Back to Henry’s apartment. Shower. Re-pack. 1:15 AM Henry, Will and I share taxi to DBX Terminal 3. 3:30 AM Depart DBX- Safi Airways Flt 4Q- Destination: Kabul, Afghanistan.   On board the Safi Airways flight 4Q, I am beginning to feel a genuine haze.
