Brooklyn White Fig Tree

Brooklyn White is a honey-berry fig that is widely-adapted for southern and northern growing regions. This variety was discovered by fig collector Bass Samaan in an Italian neighborhood in New York. It was reportedly brought to New York City by immigrants and will produce ripe figs even after dying back from a hard freeze. It is noted to be one of the most cold-hardy, light-skinned fig varieties available in the US. Brooklyn White figs have an excellent flavor that combines notes of honey figs and berry figs. Also known as "Naples White," this variety has a unique strawberry flavor that is absolutely delicious! The figs are medium size with a light green exterior and a light red to pink interior.
