Martinenca Rimada Fig Tree

Martinenca Rimada is a Spanish fig that is highly-regarded variety amongst the fig community due to it's rich berry flavors and beauty as it ripens. These figs, which often form in clusters, begin as green and yellow striped beauties. As they ripen, they will turn dark red or purple with subtle stripes or no stripes at all. At peak ripeness, Martinenca Rimada have a wonderful berry flavor that some say tastes like raspberries. This is a late season variety that takes a long time to ripen. As a result, it's not a great variety for northern growers. But it does exceptionally well for us in the deep south as a late-season fig.
