Ettore Sottsass for Knoll 1990s Mandarin Postmodern Tubular Steel Dining Chair

An Ettore Sottsass for Knoll Mandarin Chair. This wonderful expressive postmodern chair was produced in the 1990s. This chair is designed by the world renowned Memphis Group member Ettore Sottsass, a pioneer of the postmodern Memphis design movement, and an icon of the art and design world as a whole. This chair features a simple, yet playful design featuring a tubular steel frame, and a simple black fabric upholstery. Where this chair shines is in its lovely wrap-around red arms. These curving tubular arms bend and continue around the chair from the back to the underside of the seat. This chair is in good vintage condition. It features original Knoll tags as pictured above.
