"4 Saddles" Original

24x36” Oil on Stretched Canvas with Gilded Gold Edges, 2020 In February of 2019 while walking through the World Equestrian Center’s Vendor Village, a lineup of four CWD saddles on a wooden saddle rack caught my eye. While the CWD saddle rep just intended to set them up to clean, I was in awe. Their unique customizations and overall craftsmanship of the soft leather were so beautiful. The scene took me back to those evenings after competing at summer horse shows, where I would sit down and clean all my tack until they looked clean and satisfying for the next day. While it took a little over a year to paint, “4 Saddles” was created to celebrate the simple beauties of well-made and well-cared for tack.
