6" Round Box with Recessed Lid — Ash Band, Antiqued Natural Finish

This handcrafted round box with a recessed lid measures 6½″ in diameter and 3½″ tall. The band is made from ash, rather than the maple typically used in my boxes, giving it a subtly different tone and grain pattern — each one with its own distinct character. Note for Needleworkers:Recessed-lid boxes are designed for mounting embroidery or needlework. The top board may show small spaces where it meets the band; this is normal and will be fully covered once your piece is installed. To attach your work, you’ll need to supply an insert (not included). Many needleworkers use foam core board, which can be found at most craft or art supply shops. The recessed lid sits ¼″ below the rim, allowing finished needlework to mount neatly within the frame of the box.
